A good scorecard turns a vague sense of who is reliable into a number you can compare and track. This template groups criteria into five dimensions, gives each a weight, and computes a weighted score, so a strong performer on the things you care about most rises to the top.

Adjust the weights to fit your priorities. A food manufacturer might weight compliance and traceability heavily; an engineering firm might weight quality conformance and on-time delivery. The structure stays the same.

How do I use a weighted supplier scorecard?+
Assign each criterion a weight reflecting its importance, so the weights sum to 100. Score each criterion from 1 to 5, multiply by the weight, and sum the weighted scores for an overall figure out of 500 (or divide by 100 for a score out of 5). Because the weights are yours, the scorecard reflects what actually matters to your business.
What dimensions should a supplier scorecard include?+
Common dimensions are quality, delivery, compliance, communication and sustainability, but you should tailor them. Regulated manufacturers often add traceability and documentation; service suppliers might weight responsiveness more heavily. This template gives you a starting set you can edit.
