A supplier audit checklist you can actually work from.

A free supplier audit checklist covering quality systems, document control, traceability, health and safety, ethics and environment, with columns for evidence and corrective actions. Download the CSV and take it into your next audit.

Turn an audit into a list of closed actions.

A useful audit checklist does two things: it prompts the right questions, and it captures what you found in a form you can act on. This template groups items by area, records whether each is compliant, and leaves columns for evidence and any corrective action, with an owner and due date.

Adapt the items to your sector. Food manufacturers will lean on traceability and allergen controls; construction on health and safety accreditation and insurance; engineering on quality-system conformance.

What's in the template

  • Grouped checklist items across seven audit areas
  • Compliant Y / N / NA against each item
  • Evidence and corrective-action columns

Then close the findings with the supplier.

A checklist finds the gaps; the harder part is closing them. Supplio turns audit findings into corrective actions (CAPA) with a supplier response loop: raise the action, the supplier responds through their portal, and a reviewer accepts it or requests changes. Every step is captured in an immutable audit log you can export.

Questions, answered.

What should a supplier audit checklist cover?+
A broad supplier audit checklist covers the quality management system and its certification, document and record control, process and production control, traceability and recall, health and safety, ethical and labour standards, and environment. This template includes all of those, and you should tailor the specific items to your sector and the supplier's risk.
How do I follow up on non-conformances found in an audit?+
Raise a corrective action for each non-conformance, with a clear description, an owner and a due date, then track it to closure with evidence. The template leaves columns for exactly this. Supplio takes it further by routing corrective actions to the supplier through their portal and keeping an auditable record of the response and sign-off.
Is the checklist free to use?+
Yes, completely. Download the CSV and use it however you like, no sign-up. If you want to manage the corrective actions that come out of an audit with a proper supplier response loop, that is what Supplio's supplier audit and CAPA software does.
